Sunan Ibn Majah 450
[Maidah
5:6] O People who Believe! When you wish to stand up for prayer, wash your
faces, and your hands up to the elbows, and pass wet palms over your heads and
wash your feet up to the ankles.
Method of Wudû - Ablution in English
The
Fard (obligatory) acts of Wudû (Ablution) are four, if anything remains dry then condition of ablution will not fulfill:
- Wash the face (from right ear to left year & from the top of forehead to the end of chin, having beard put water flow over it and combing with hand so that water reach every where).
- Wash the arms up to and including
the elbows.
- Wipe (Masah) over one-fourth
of the head.
- Wash the feet up to and including
the ankles.
The
Sunnah (Prophetic Tradition) of our Beloved Prophet (Peach Be Upon Him) of
Wudû:
- Make the intention (niyat).
- Begin with reciting complete
Bismillah.
- Wash both hands up-to the wrists.
- Wash mouth and do Miswak/finger.
- Wash and clean the nostrils.
- Khilal (passing wet fingers) in
beard.
- Masah (wipe) of whole head.
- Masah (wipe) of ears.
- To do Wadoo (ablution) in such
manner, that the washed parts do not, get dried before the completion.
- Keep up the sequence.
- Wash the three times, every body
part.
Things
that nullified Wudu:
- Anything oozing out from the
place of stool or urine.
- Blood, puss, or any purulent
discharge out of body.
- Mouthful of vomit.
- Sleeping while lying on ground or
in a sitting position while back leaning against something.
- Loud laugh during Salah (Offering
Prayers).
- Fainting.
- Water flow from infected eyes.
Some
requisite rules:
- If flatulence
occurs during Wudu or such thing takes place by which Wudu
is nullified, then it is essential to do Wudu afresh. Whatever had
been washed before has now become un-washed.
- If blood or
puss keep flowing all the time from somebody's wounds or drop of urine
coming out, or flatulence occurs all the time; then one should
do Wudu (Ablution) before every Salah (Prayers) and his Salah (Prayers)
deemed to be valid as he is now incapacitated by Shariah (Mazoor
As-Sharaee). This Wudu (Ablution) last till the ending time of Salah
(Prayers).
- Wudu is not
nullified if blood or puss comes out but does not flow.
